Growing Up

Radric Delantic Davis was born in Bessemer, Alabama on February 12, 1980. His father was on the run from cops for dealing crack cocaine and heroin when he was born in Detroit, Michigan. While his mother was away at college, Davis was raised by his paternal grandmother.

Mane was first exposed to rap and hip hop by his older half-brother Victor, who took him to a Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J concert when he was a child. Legal Concerns

Mane was arrested on cocaine charges in 2001. He received a 90-day jail sentence. A group of men attacked him at a house in Decatur, Georgia, in May 2005.
