In the month of February 1955, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart was born in Tampa, Florida. Neidhart set a high school shot put record in California. He appeared in preseason and practice games for the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders in the NFL.

In Calgary, he trained with Stu Hart and worked for Stampede Wrestling from 1987 to 1983. Jim Hart married Stu’s daughter Ellie Hart, making him Bret and Owen Hart’s brother-in-law. After winning an anvil toss at the Calgary Stampede, Neidhart earned the nickname “The Anvil.”

He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1985 to 1992. He debuted in New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1992 before moving on to World Championship Wrestling in 1993. He later returned to the WWF.

Neidhart and Bret Hart won the WWF Tag Team Championships twice as part of The Hart Foundation. He has also wrestled for Championship Wrestling of Florida, Memphis Championship Wrestling, the Mid-Eastern Wrestling Federation, the Mid-South Wrestling, the Professional Wrestling Federation, Pro Wrestling Ohio, Stampede Wrestling, and the Universal Wrestling Alliance.

Neidhart is a member of the Stampede Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Legends Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. His daughter is Natalya, a WWE Diva. On August 13, 2018, Jim Neidhart died at the age of 63.
