We were curious to find out who the world’s richest soccer teams are, so we did some research and compiled a list of the world’s 20 richest soccer teams based on reported annual revenue from the previous year. Numbers do not deceive!

So, if you’re a die-hard soccer fan, chances are your team is among those listed below, as we’ve included everyone from West Ham United to Barcelona. And, for those of you who are British, you will notice that the majority of the list is dominated by English Premier League teams!

The data used to compile the list of soccer teams and figures below was obtained from a variety of websites, including CNBC, Business Insider, and SportsShow.

 

20. West Ham United

Revenue: $224.5 Million

West Ham United is an English professional football club based in Stratford, East London.

They were founded as Thames Ironworks in June 1985 and changed their name to West Ham United in July 1900.

The club plays all of its home games at the London Stadium and competes in the English Premier League, the best league in English soccer.

David Sullivan, David Gold, Albert Smith, and a few other investors own West Ham United, which is managed by David Moyes.

The “Hammers,” as they are affectionately known, have won the FA Cup three times, advanced to two major European finals, and won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1965.

Farhad Moshiri, a British-Iranian businessman, owns Everton Football Club, which is chaired by Bill Kenwright and managed by Carlo Ancelotti.
